Checked Baggage Policy

General Rules

  • Weight limit per bag: 23 kg (50 lb)

  • Maximum size: 157 cm (62 in) linear dimensions

  • Oversized maximum: 292 cm (115 in) with fees

 

By Fare Type

  • Lite Fare: No free checked baggage (fees apply from USD 30).

  • Classic Fare: 1 free checked bag.

  • Flex Fare: 2 free checked bags.

  • Business / Biz Flex: Up to 3 free checked bags.

On domestic flights within Trinidad & Tobago, passengers get 1 free checked bag. Additional baggage is charged per kilogram (approx. TT$3 per kg).

Checked Baggage Fees

Exceeding your allowance means paying extra:
1st bag (Lite fare): USD 30 / CAD 40

2nd bag: USD 40 / CAD 55

3rd bag: USD 150 / CAD 200

4th bag: USD 175 / CAD 235


 

Content Creation

  • 23–32 kg (50–70 lb): USD 75 / CAD 90

  • Oversized (158–292 cm): USD 75 / CAD 90

Bags heavier than 32 kg (70 lb) are not accepted.

During peak travel times, certain routes enforce baggage embargoes. For example, flights between Grenada and North America or routes involving Caracas may not accept excess baggage or large boxes. Always check before traveling.
